The 4th Edition of the Stockholm

International Fashion Fair 2021 took place at Nationalmuseum in Stockholm city

Woman possibility and sustainable fashion was the theme this year. As before, designers from all over the world showed their latest fashion tonight’s show. Special Guest as The Ambassador of Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, The Morocco among other distinguished VIP guests. A truly inspirational Stockholm International Fashion Fair at Nationalmuseum. Thank you Therese Neaime for the beautiful song. Designers came from Morocco, Tunisia, Spain, Dubai, Azerbaijan, Egypt, Sweden, Argentina, Serbia, Kuwait and showed their latest jewellery and fashion collections.

She has participated in international fashion shows in Dubai, Oman, London, New York, Thailand, Bali Island, Sweden, invited to participate in international forums, world economic exhibitions, including the conference of Arab women and world economy which was held in London and the European Business Forum which was held in Brussels.

She was invited to present special fashion shows for heads of state of the world to support women in the Asian continent, which was held in New York. She has participated in the celebration of the International Thai Silk Fashion Week in honor of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit on the occasion of the Queen’s birthday, in the presence of the Thai Prime Minister.

The version was run by the Kuwait Bar Association as part of the celebration of International Women’s Day, among 7 influential personalities in the world and was honored including the Fashion Icon in London and in the presence of the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador Khaled Al Duwaisan and she had the honor of interviewing Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Sabah after receiving the international award.

شاركت مصممة الأزياء منتهى العجيل في عرض أزياء عالمي أقيم في العاصمة التايلندية بانكوك ضمن فعاليات الاحتفال التاسع للأزياء الحريرية المقامة على مدى أسبوع كامل بدعم من الملكة الأم.

وحضر الاحتفال الذي نظمته هيئة السياحة التايلندية رئيس مجلس الوزراء التايلندي برايوث تشان أوتشا وعدد من الوزراء وكبار المسؤولين والديبلوماسيين وبعض من أفراد العائلة المالكة التايلندية.

وشارك في الاحتفال 43 مصمما ومصممة من 71 دولة تنافسوا على تصميم أزياء من الحرير الملكي التايلندي تخصص للسفراء وزوجاتهم في العاصمة بانكوك.

وقالت مصممة الأزياء في تصريح لها انه جرى توزيع نحو 3500 متر من الحرير الملكي على مصممي الأزياء لإبراز مواهبهم وإبداعاتهم ولمساتهم في تصميم ملابس لـ 33 سفيرا و88 من ممثلي السفراء في تايلند.

وأعربت العجيل عن سعادتها بالمشاركة في مثل هذا الاحتفال الذي تحضره نخبة من أبرز مصممي الأزياء في العالم.

 

وقالت ان هذا الاحتفال يقام سنويا بمناسبة ذكرى الملكة سيريكيت الملكة الأم المعروفة باسم (ملكة الحرير) ويهدف إلى مد جسور التقارب الثقافي بين تايلند ومختلف الدول المشاركة من خلال ديبلوماسية الحرير.

تكريم منتهى العجيل من جمعية المحامين

ضمن احتفالها باليوم العالمي للمرأة نظمت جمعية المحامين الكويتية احتفالية بحضور كبار الشخصيات من سيدات المجتمع الكويتي البارزات واللاتي اسهمن في خدمة مجتمعهن، تم تسليط الضوء عليهن من خلال «نساء متميزات» أثبتن نجاحهن بكل جدارة في المعترك السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي، وتم تكريم منتهى العجيل التي شاركت بقطع فنية تراثية تمثل الزي التراثي الكويتي الخليجي في عروض الأزياء العالمية في باريس ولندن ونيويورك، ووضعت تصاميمها بالمهرجانات والمتاجر العالمية.

شاركت مصممة الازياء الكويتية منتهى العجيل بقطع فنية من التصاميم التراثية في عرض للازياء اقيم بمعهد العالم العربي في باريس جذبت انظار المهتمين بعالم الازياء والموضة.

وقال العجيل في تصريح له اليوم الاحد ان دعوتها للمشاركة بجانب نخبة من مصممي الازياء الخليجيين والعرب في قلب عاصمة الموضة هو انجاز جديد يسجل للامرأة الكويتية التي دائما ما تتميز في جميع المجالات.

وبينت انها شاركت في العديد من الفعاليات والاحداث العالمية المتميزة مؤكدة ان الهدف من جميع مشاركاتها هو رفع راية الكويت عاليا وابراز الذوق الرفيع للمرأة الكويتية التي تتميز دائما بالاناقة والرقي.

وذكرت انها استوحت تصاميم مجموعتها الجديدة التي اسمتها (تراثنا اجمل في رمضان) من التراث الكويتي التقليدي ومزجت بين الماضي الجميل والحاضر المبتكر لتصنع تصورا جديدا لتشكيلتها.

وقالت انها اطلقت هذا الاسم على مجموعتها في عرض باريس لايصال صورة جميلة عن الزي التراثي الكويتي او (الدراعة) الذي كان ومازال رمز الاناقة الرمضانية.

واضافت ان الكويت اصبحت اسما لامعا في الاسواق العالمية وبدأت كبرى دور الازياء تتابع وتدرس الذوق العربي لتقحمه في عالمها الخاص.

كما وضع عدد كبير من المصممين العرب بصمتهم في كبرى المتاجر والمهرجانات العالمية لتنافس السوق الاجنبي لاسيما بعد سعي نجمات هوليوود لانتقاء ازيائهن من مصممين عرب في اطلالتهن على السجادة الحمراء او في الاحتفالات الرسمية.

وقالت العجيل ان التصاميم المحتشمة اصبحت احدث خطوط الموضة في عالم الازياء حيث وضعت دور الازياء العالمية اسسا جديدة لتصاميمها لما يحمله الذوق الخليجي والعربي من اهمية.

واكدت ان الابتكار يأتي عن طريق المشاعر وتحقيق التوازن بين الحلم والواقع لانجاز المعادلة الصعبة وهي الدمج يين الانوثة والجمال والثقة بالنفس لتدب الحياة في كل قطعة من تصميمها.

وحازت العجيل جوائز عالمية عدة منها جائزة سيدات الأعمال الأعلى في الشرق الأوسط وجائزة الشرق الأوسط لقياديات الأعمال وجائزة أيقونة الأناقة والجائزة العالمية لريادة الأعمال التي حصلت على اثرها على تكريم من سمو امير الكويت الشيخ صباح الاحمد الجابر الصباح.

In just six short years, Al Ajeel has put her mark on the fashion world via her high quality haute couture dresses and Ramadan jellabiyas.

Her critical acclaim preceded a number of awards in the Arab world.
She was honored with the International GR8 award in Dubai – one of the more prestigious businesswomen awards in the Middle East.

“The awards in fashion are earned and not (handed out)” said Al Ajeel, who added that she felt “proud” to represent Kuwait internationally.

Al Ajeel has become a role model in her own unique way, first by providing fun and fashionable clothing for conservative Muslim women, and second by breaking into the international fashion industry.

“Montaha is different when it comes to fashion, she focuses on modest designs,” stated Yousef Al-Jasmi an established Kuwaiti fashion designer, adding that the fashion world could use input from a rising Middle Eastern fashion icon.

Al Ajeel majored in business administration in Kuwait University, but always had a sense of imagination.

As a student she wore clothes that she designed, until finally deciding to produce her own brand.

“One day I listened to myself and felt the creativity that was within me, and wanted to share it with the world” she said. “A designer must have self-confidence, persistence, and determination in order to succeed.”

After graduating, Al Ajeel searched to find her niche in the fashion industry. She began by opening the store Ramadan Jallabiya in Al Tilal complex – which, as the name suggests, focused on robes designed to wear during the festive month of fasting.

She brilliantly developed the Kuwaiti derra’a so that it can be worn as a reception dress in the Holy Ramadan Month. Of her use of Arabic calligraphy she says it is an art because it is one of the most beautiful calligraphies in the world and that’s why she is keen on using it in the Kuwaiti derra’a.

She adds that the fabric inspires her designs, which made her choose so many fabrics such as dentelle, silk, tor embroidered with Cashmere threads, crochet, poplin with black dentelle, geometric lines adorned with swarovsky and gold thread fabric which the woman wears in Ramadan as an expression of joy with the Holy month, as well as the mixing of fabrics and colors to satisfy different tastes.

Last year, Al Ajeel was honored with the international GR8 award in Dubai which is the highest businesswomen award in the Middle East, as well as being chosen for the Middle East Award for business leaders and the honorary award.

After that she was chosen for the world award for business leaders 2016. Lately she launched a charitable initiative in Kuwait as well as several philanthropic deeds and activities.

Presenting her latest collection, Al-Ajeel expressed to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) her happiness for being part of this event, where she was able to display her latest creations among other fashion designers.
Wearing her Kuwaiti Flag badge, designer Al-Ajeel said that she has worked hard to reach this point of her career, and she is proud to raise Kuwait’s name on such international arenas.
“Being part of this international gathering, makes me proud to illustrate the capability of Kuwaiti designers to be juxtaposed among other well-established names in the industry.” Out of passion and creation, Al-Ajeel used different colors and fabrics that portray her creativity and middle eastern roots, as well as the incorporation of western icons such as the Mona Lisa and Audrey Hepburn. On her part, Evie Evangelou, the President and Global Chairman of Fashion 4 Development (F4D) which were part of the event, told KUNA that Al-Ajeel’s collection has amazing potential, and described her as a “creative and talented” designer.
She was amazed by the workmanship and craftsmanship of the collection, and said that they are of quality.
“We are working hard to introduce her and her designs to the US market,” she added. Yet, she stressed that if it is “too cultural it not’s really acceptable.” Therefore, her designs need to adapt to the market, Evangelou said.
The F4D, she said, work to preserve culture, and provide opportunities for up and coming designers. “With Al-Ajeel, we will be working to broaden her production,” she concluded.
Evangelou founded F4D’s global awareness campaign, and the First Ladies and Fashion 4 Development initiative, which were inspired by her exuberant career on the international arena of cultural diplomacy and international relations, specializing in entertainment, arts, fashion, beauty, travel, tourism and trade.
